## Software Developer

Welcome to my portfolio.

I'm a curious and practical software developer, driven to build systems that solve real-world problems. I enjoy exploring different technologies and thrive on turning a complex challenge into a simple, effective tool.

Most of my work comes from a mix of learning, problem-solving, and trying to make things a little better than before.

Career Preview Program (CPP) Intern

Built QueryCraft, a tool that turns natural-language questions into SQL reports over HPE NonStop measurement data. You ask a question, and it generates the query, runs it, and returns charts along with CSV, Excel and PDF exports.

The backend is FastAPI with a React frontend and PostgreSQL, using Google Gemini, Gemma 4 and a fine-tuned SQLCoder model. I designed a RAG pipeline over a curated schema store, and used ChromaDB with bge-large-en embeddings for semantic query caching to cut down on repeated LLM calls. Since it runs generated SQL, I also put in safety checks: sqlglot AST validation, read-only Postgres roles, statement timeouts and an audit log.

Technical Team Member

I work on the technical side of the club's events. For Cyber0Day-3, our flagship cybersecurity event, I dockerized the CTF challenges so they could be deployed with a single command on any participant's machine.

I've also built and distributed custom Linux VM images for club workshops, and helped participants on-site during multiple events.

# Projects

A CLI-based real-time chat system inspired by IRC, built with Node.js and SocketCluster. Supports multiple channels, private messaging and user authentication with WebSocket pub/sub and JWT-authenticated Express APIs. Uses MongoDB for storage and Redis for sessions and presence, with Commander, Inquirer and Chalk for the terminal interface.

Node.jsSocketClusterMongoDBRedis

A Go service that tracks product prices and sends email alerts when they drop. Built around pluggable scrapers, with a RabbitMQ-based alert pipeline that keeps price checks separate from email delivery. REST APIs with Gin, GORM and PostgreSQL, a React frontend for tracking products and price history, and Docker Compose for local setup.

GoGinPostgreSQLRabbitMQReact

A real-time collaborative document editor using Yjs CRDTs over WebSockets and a Tiptap-based React frontend. Multiple people can edit the same document at once, with automatic conflict resolution and live presence. Documents and version snapshots are stored in MongoDB, with Redis handling sessions and editor state.

Stirling PDF is a widely used self-hosted PDF toolkit built with Spring Boot and Apache PDFBox. I added a chapter-based PDF splitter, which walks the document's bookmark tree with a recursive DFS and works out each chapter's page range from its child, sibling and parent-sibling bookmarks, up to a configurable outline depth. It also removes duplicate bookmarks that point to the same page so you don't end up with empty files.

Apart from that, I've prototyped multi-threaded versions of some core utilities to speed up large documents, and worked with the maintainers on PR reviews, issue triage and feature scoping.
